Umpiring

Little League runs on volunteer efforts, and like managing and coaching, we use volunteer umpires throughout the season and playoffs in all our leagues in District 12.

To prepare for that, on  February 24, 2024, we will host our annual Cambrian Park Umpire Clinic. This one-day clinic will provide attendees with instruction on the basic umpire mechanics in the 2-man 60-ft field umpire system. Your instructors will be some of the best umpires in the Western Region (and dare I say the US!), all of whom have attended the Umpire Academy in San Bernardino, in addition to holding multiple other accolades such as Regional or World Series umpiring assignments.

Registration is open to all in our District, both adults and youth umpires, baseball age 11 and older. For those managers and coaches who have volunteer umpire requirements during the season, this is your opportunity to receive training before the season begins!

In addition to our Cambrian Park training, there will be other umpire clinics held in coming weeks in the South Bay. Please see the table below for information. If for some reason you cannot attend the Cambrian Park clinic, you can register for one of these. All are free, but most require registration.
