2024 CPLL Approved Volunteers

Who needs to be approved as a volunteer?

Anyone who will be on the field with children (manager, coach, umpire). Also, team parents, scorekeepers, and snack shack leads must be approved. Full approval is NOT required to work the snack shack.

I'm not on the approved list. How do I know which items I'm missing?

How do I get approved as a volunteer?

1. Register as a volunteer here. (It's free). This will trigger a background check.

2. Complete the background check you receive in an e-mail from JDP.

3. Complete the Abuse Awareness Course with USA Baseball:

Go to USABDevelops.com or the download the USA Baseball App
Find “Sign in/Register” either in the account icon (app) or by clicking the three lines in the upper right-hand corner (desktop)
Enter all required information marked with red *
Be sure to select your CAMBRIAN PARK LITTLE LEAGUE from the ORGANIZATIONS drop down menu and click +Join
Click on the EDUCATION tile, Select CERTIFICATIONS, Click on MY CERTIFICATIONS
Find “BASE Compliance” and click “Enroll”
Select the “Abuse Awareness for Adults” course. Enroll and complete course
Confirm your completion by going to https://usabdevelops.com/directory and choosing "Cambrian Park Little League" as the organization. Some have had trouble with this step. If you're listed, you are done. If not, Log In, Go to My Profile, then Update My Profile. Look for the section that says "Little League - Local Leagues" and select "Cambrian Park Little League."

4. Complete a fingerprinting approval with the Verify Group (this is only required once ever for CPLL. So if you've done it in the past you don't need to do it again. All other steps are required yearly).

The easiest time to get fingerprinted will be at evaluations on January 27 from 12:30-2pm. CPLL will cover the cost.
Otherwise, you'll need to go in person at: 262 E Hamilton Ave Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008. If you go in person, you'll need to cover the cost.

5. Get final approval from the board of directors following a review of past conduct
